Cookies
Our web pages use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
Cookies can originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within web pages (e.g. cookies for handling payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to evaluate user behaviour or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is stated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Where consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be withdrawn at any time.

In order to display the eRecht24 logo in the banner, a connection is established to the eRecht24 image server. The IP address is also transmitted, but is only stored in anonymised form in the server logs. The eRecht24 image server is located in Germany with a German provider. The banner itself is provided exclusively by Usercentrics.
Usercentrics is used to obtain the legally required consents for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Communication takes place via end-to-end encryption (peer-to-peer), which prevents WhatsApp or other third parties from gaining access to the communication content. However, WhatsApp receives access to metadata that arises in the course of the communication process (e.g. sender, recipient and time). We also point out that WhatsApp, according to its own statement, shares personal data of its users with its parent company Meta, based in the USA. Further details on data processing can be found in WhatsApp's privacy policy at: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/#privacy-policy.
WhatsApp is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in the fastest and most effective communication possible with customers, prospects and other business and contract partners (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where corresponding consent has been requested, data processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of consent; this can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
The communication content exchanged between you and us on WhatsApp remains with us until you request us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
The company is certified under the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework" (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the USA. This makes it possible to track the behaviour of site visitors after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Meta advertisement. This allows the effectiveness of the Meta advertisements to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimised.
The data collected is anonymous for us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, so that a connection to the respective user profile on Facebook or Instagram is possible and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Meta data usage policy (https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/). This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Enhanced matching enables us to transmit various types of data (e.g. place of residence, federal state, postcode, hashed e-mail addresses, names, gender, date of birth or telephone number) of our customers and prospects that we collect via our website to Meta. This allows us to tailor our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram even more precisely to people interested in our offers.
Insofar as personal data is collected on our website and forwarded to Meta with the help of the tool described here, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). The joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and its transfer to Meta. The processing carried out by Meta after the transfer is not part of the joint responsibility. The wording of the agreement can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum.
The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum. This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Insofar as personal data is collected and forwarded to Meta with the help of the tool described here, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are jointly responsible (Art. 26 GDPR). 7. Audio and video conferencing
Data processing
Among other things, we use online conferencing tools to communicate with our customers. The specific tools we use are listed below. If you communicate with us by video or audio conference via the internet, your personal data will be collected and processed by us and by the provider of the respective conferencing tool.
The conferencing tools collect all data that you provide/use in order to use the tools (e-mail address and/or your telephone number). Furthermore, the conferencing tools process the duration of the conference, the start and end (time) of participation in the conference, the number of participants and other "context information" in connection with the communication process (metadata).
Furthermore, the provider of the tool processes all technical data required to handle the online communication. This includes in particular IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or loudspeaker and the type of connection.
Insofar as content is exchanged, uploaded or otherwise made available within the tool, this is also stored on the tool providers' servers. Such content includes in particular cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards and other information shared during the use of the service.
Please note that we do not have full influence over the data processing operations of the tools used. Our options depend largely on the corporate policy of the respective provider. Further information on data processing by the conferencing tools can be found in the privacy policies of the respective tools used, which we have listed below this text.
Purpose and legal bases
The conferencing tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contract partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves to generally simplify and accelerate communication with us or our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where consent has been requested, the relevant tools are used on the basis of this consent; consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
Storage period
The data collected directly by us via the video and conferencing tools will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
We have no influence on the storage period of your data stored by the operators of the conferencing tools for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the conferencing tools directly.

8. Own services
Handling of applicant data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, by post or via an online application form). Below we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions and that your data is treated in strict confidence.
Scope and purpose of data collection
If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Within our company, your personal data is only passed on to persons involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data you submit is stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.
As part of the application process, we may also carry out an internet search on you. This primarily includes Google search, LinkedIn and Xing. The legal basis for this type of processing is our legitimate interest in obtaining an overall impression of publicly accessible information about you pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Data retention period
If we cannot make you a job offer, you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have submitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data is then deleted and the physical application documents are destroyed. The retention serves in particular for evidence purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion only takes place once the purpose for further retention no longer applies.
Longer retention may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations preclude deletion.
